The complete birth of the cool (1948)

Este disco surgió con motivo de buscar nuevos sonidos, más suaves en contraposición al be-bop de Parker y Gillespie. Se grabó en tres sesiones distintas, entre enero de 1949 y marzo de 1.950. Fue el punto de partida de una larga colaboración entre Miles y Gil Evans.
